Barn Owls, an outstanding Prestige design by Nigel Creed, is only available in a worldwide edition of three. The spectacular study reveals Nigel’s exceptional knowledge of the art of enamel painting because to paint the all round, in and out scene showing four Owls silently hunting for prey and an intimate ‘bird’s eye’ view of life within the nest requires immense skill.

 Using tiny amounts of colour Nigel has gradually built up the intricate detail of the Owls’ plumage and the haunting beauty of the landscape. Each layer of colour involves a firing in a hot kiln to transform the pigment and to fix it permanently with the enamelled glazed surface.  It’s detailed, painstaking work but the result is breathtaking and, for three connoisseurs, Barn Owls will become a magnificent and much admired addition to a collection.
